What is Tranquil Travelers?

Tranquil Travelers is an full-service travel agency with all accreditations and licenses under host agency Legato. We are not a travel supplier and are limited to the policies, schedules, pricing and availability as set by the airlines, hotels, or tour operators.

How it Works?

​

Surprise Vacation

You set your budget and inform us of your travel preferences through the travel survey. Destination, lodging, and activity bookings are selected based on the information submitted in the trip survey. All trips include custom activity and restaurant recommendations, as well as background information on the destination.

Traveler itinerary packets are mailed out 2-3 weeks prior to departure through USPS. The itinerary packet will reveal the traveler destination and provide all flight, lodging, transportation, destination overview, and activity info. If the traveler does not receive their itinerary in the mail, all information contained in the envelope will be emailed to the traveler.

Booked activities are not guaranteed, but may be included based on budget availability.

 

Activity Options may include: museum tickets, amusement park tickets, food tours, walking tours, spa gift cards, carriage rides, white-water rafting, ferry tickets, archaeological site tours, ski passes, scuba diving, zipline tours, guided hikes, theater productions, sightseeing cruises, aquariums, zoos, segway tours, or snorkeling. We reserve the right to book additional activity options based on traveler interests.

• International

  • Passports must be valid for at least 6 months past the travel dates. Client is responsible for making sure passport is up to date prior to booking. Any fees or cancellations due to expired travel documentation are the travelers responsibility. ​​​

  • We will inform travelers of any additional documentation or entry requirements unique to the destination country.

  • International surprise destinations may include Europe, Canada, Caribbean islands, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, and Pacific Islands. We try to keep flight duration under 6 hours for trips 3-6 days and under 18 hours for longer trips, including European destinations. We reserve the right to book to additional destinations and flights of longer duration based on traveler preferences and requests.

  • Lodging is guaranteed in 3 to 5-star hotels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, or rental homes with a minimum 4 out of 5-star traveler rating. 

  • Rental cars included upon request. Traveler must be 25+ and hold a valid driver's license and credit card for a rental car to be included. 

  • Trips 7-nights or longer may include multiple destination stops. Transportation between destinations will be included in traveler budget. 

• All-Inclusive

  • All-inclusive packages require travelers to have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the travel dates.

  • We book only 4 or 5-star all-inclusive resorts. All-inclusive packages include round-trip transportation between the airport and the resort. ​

  • All-inclusive brand options include: Hotel Xcaret (Mexico), Karisma, Sandals, Couples (Jamaica), Beaches, Marriott, Excellence, and additional boutique resorts including Bay Gardens (St. Lucia), Sunset at the Palms (Jamaica), Bucuti and Tara (Aruba), Cocos Hotel (Antigua), and Palmaia (Mexico). We reserve the right to add additional resorts at any time. 

• USA

  • Travelers may book a road trip or trip with flights. Road trips include lodging and booked activities only. Trips with flights include round-trip airfare, rental car upon request, lodging, and booked activities based on budget availability. ​

  • Airfare may be booked with the following airlines:

    • Delta

    • American

    • United

    • JetBlue

    • Southwest

    • Sun Country

    • Allegiant (only if budget airlines option selected in survey)

    • Alaskan

    • Frontier (only if budget airlines option selected in survey)

  • Lodging is guaranteed in 3 to 5-star hotels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, or rental homes with a minimum 4 out of 5-star traveler rating.

Custom Planned Trip

You fill out the trip survey with your travel preferences and information. We will give you a few recommendations based on your responses. Once you select a destination we can involve you in selecting your lodging and activities as much or as little as you prefer. We will handle all the bookings once everything is selected.

Terms and Conditions

Cancellations are subject to a nonrefundable $100 fee. This fee may be applied to a future trip, should the client desire to reschedule. Any nonrefundable fees charged by the vendors for airfare, lodging, rental car, or activities are the client's responsibility. Tranquil Travelers recommends all clients obtain travel insurance to cover any fees in the event of trip cancellation.

The Travel Agency will offer the above-listed services and accommodations to consumer clients as part of travel packages pursuant to the terms of this travel agency agreement.

Client Responsibilities

Client agrees to pay for the trip in full by the due date listed on the invoice.

​

If client has opted for a traditional vacation, client recognizes that invoices not paid in a timely manner may result in changes in availability of quoted lodging, airfare, and activities.

​

All other clients recognize they are booking to a surprise destination and are willing to keep an open mind throughout their trip. Itineraries will be mailed 2 weeks in advance of travel dates. If the client has not received their hard copy in the mail 1 week before travel date, they may request a digital copy. Once client has reviewed the details of their destination, they must submit any requests for changes or alterations at least 72 hour prior to travel date. Tranquil Travelers will make every effort to accommodate changes, but client will be responsible for any additional fees charged by vendor.

Payment

Tranquil Travelers is a registered travel agency that receives commission from vendors on client bookings at no additional cost to client.

In the event that a property or activity is deemed more in line with a client's preferences that does not offer commission, Tranquil Travelers reserves the right to collect commission off the client's total budget, not to exceed 20% of the total trip cost.

All taxes and fees are included in the client's submitted budget. Any additional charges by rental car companies, resort, or activity providers will be outlined in client's itinerary and will be approved by client before proceeding with booking.

Disclosure

Client gives permission to Tranquil Travelers to make all their travel arrangements for them. Specific requests or destinations to avoid must be submitted on trip survey or through email.

Insurance

Tranquil Travelers highly recommends all travelers obtain travel insurance. Clients will receive travel insurance with their package if this option is selected on their trip survey or they request it through email prior to the start of their trip.

Acceptance

The Parties hereby acknowledge the receipt and understanding of all the terms and conditions as outlined in this travel agency agreement.
